From Manila to Batangas, it took us roughly about 6 hrs, we departed from Pasig City proper around 3:00 pm but we got separated Somewhere in Manila because of traffic and unpredictable route during the traffic. " I was the one that got separated ^^", It took me about an hour to reunite with my two friends, it's a bit funny since I was always the navigator when we are riding but not this time since I had to replace the headlight of my Motorcycle and I have to remove some accessories which include the phone holder, We may have struggled a bit but after finding the way we head straight to Batangas, we took the Cavite-Batangas road for us to see Kaybiang Tunnel, we are hoping to get there before night to see it's beauty and take pictures, it took us maybe 2 to 3 hours to get there and by that time, It's already dark but we still stopped hoping to get a clear photo but it really was dark and we have to move on, we decided to take the same route the next day.
It's a little bit of struggle because what we are following is an Online Map which Leads us to a cornfield, we had to go to a really dark cornfield to get to our destination, it was a bit scary since we do not know what is out there, we traveled the cornfield for about 30 mins but it feels like forever:(, upon hitting the road again, we stopped and we may be crazy but lie down for at least few seconds before hopping in and driving again.
Then we look for a place to stay, and the best location to stay in the beach, we search for a beach in Lian Batangas, there are a lot of Beaches to stay, we stumble somewhere nice just around Lian, we rented a Kubo where we stayed for the night and we paid for 1500 for the overnight stay.
Swimming during the night is not very great since it's dark and we are tired due to the long travel time.
Tip: Plan Ahead (resort to stay and a place to eat) and consider getting your own Phone holder.
When the morning comes, another adventure awaits, we stayed in the beach until 9:00 am to experience its beauty, not much people to see during this time of the year since it's already November and cold breeze are blowing all day.
at 9am
It's now 9:00 am and we are about to depart from the resort and head to our next destination " Fantasy Land", I always dream of going to this place since the day that I saw this in the list of abandoned places when browsing, though it is not longer abandoned when we dropped by.
From Lian Batangas, it took us about an hour to get there including the stopped over, we stopped at an Eater along the way to eat lunch and drove away after eating our fill.
Entrance fee to Fantasy land was P100, but the experience is more than what you pay for, it may have been abandoned but after going inside, it feels like it brought out the child in me, the place is so nice and the building is like a castle which I only see in movies. There were a giant maze and a tower connected by a hanging bridge. The view is nice and you'll feel peace in this place, there was also a dragon but that one is Off limit and was located somewhere far from where the castle is, you can stay until 5:00 pm if you want but we already left just after an hour of staying since we still have a few plans ahead.
Since we missed seeing the Kaybiang last night, we took the same route back to Manila, travel time was added since fantasy land is on the different side but who cares it's now or never. It took us about 2 hrs to get back in Kaybiang Tunnel, this time around we hit the road slow to appreciate the surroundings,
we passed by the cliff of a mountain and stopped by to take pictures. Now down to our main target, Kaybiang tunnel is just around the corner, but before getting there we passed by another wonderful view, it was a vast ocean that we never saw yesterday because of the dark of the night, we stopped again for a good amount of time to rest and to take pictures and for the other guys, to smoke.
Now we are in Kaybiang Tunnel, this time we got here during the day and our mission is complete, this is our main objective when we decided to go to Batangas and it was not in front of us, this is a 300-meter Tunnel and you can rarely see vehicles so taking pictures is so much easier, the view is amazing and the experience is so much better than hearing it from stories, after taking pictures and eating in an Eatery nearby, we hit the road and drive home, it's much shorter now than when we are on our way to this place, I personally got home around 6:00 PM.
The overall experience was really great and I will find time to have this experience again in the near future.
Tip: Leave early if you want to experience greater things, if only we got to our destination before dark we could have taken an alternate route which is the road-bound to Tagaytay.
Enjoy and Ride Safe mga ka Pogi.
